Extra – Group Exhibition

This exhibition gathers some works from some artists who came to la malterie for a residency during the past 5 years.

“Gathered after their expériments on la malterie’s Plateau (space for residencies); the eight artists of the EXTRA exhibition propose some works in which drawing can be considered as an autonomous medium, a way to engage with an intention or a plan of action for the conquest of a space, a body, an amount of time.

Drawing, when considered outside it’s traditional limits, can possibly get lost. In this moment of distraction, when drawing appear in some diaphanous and ambiguous shapes, it acquires it’s power of representation. ”
