Art in the Dark

Art in the Dark is an initiative of Blindenzorg Licht en Liefde, where the audience is able to identify with the world of persons with visual impairments. Here the roles are reversed: a blind or visually impaired person guides the visitor on a tour within a black box. What is it like to live in complete darkness? Can you also enjoy art? Galerie Transit selected two works from the oeuvre of Johan Creten. Creten’s images are complex in texture and rich in layers of meaning. They naturally invite one to touch them. A visit to the black box is only possible under supervision and in little groups of four to five.
