Kunst & Zwalm 2011 allows the company of blind and partially sighted people or people with a disability to experience as equal players in the world of art and leisure.

This objective, in terms of increasing diversity, tolerance and attitude is accomplished by creating a partnership with various organizations.

ART IN THE DARK or dealing with a visual impairment
The project “Art in the Dark ‘(an initiative of View of Culture), is a new guest.
The audience can identify themselves with the world of people with visual disabilities. Blind experts will guide visitors in a Black Box, a completely darkened room, where an artist selected by  ‘Boem Association’, will place his work.
Seeing as the visitor can experience what an experience and not seeing the value of his other senses detect. A new dimension to art is given and an artwork can indeed be experienced more than one way.
